And One Final Teton Painting...

Although I did about 10 paintings...like most weeks that are completely plein air a small portion of the works gets framed...here is one more...

I think I was extremely influenced by Carl Rungius when painting this one. Oddly enough must have been channeling him...did not go to the exhibit in Jackson featuring his work until later!

More Tetons...

Again from my field studies in Wyoming....really do love plein air painting though it can be darn frustrating. But it is the basis of good studio paintings...I believe.

Wyoming Adventures...

A week in Wyoming with my favorite artist, Jean LeGassick, was great for my learning curve...but darn hard on my ego...why is it that 2 out of 3 plein air paintings seem consigned to the "sand over pile?"

Well this is one I really liked, so framed and ready for the show in October at Sage Gallery in Bend.

Why I haven't been blogging...

Whew, between the show (see picture) at Tumalo Art Co. in Bend, Oregon, painting in Wyoming (for a week) and getting ready for a show in October at Sage Gallery I have just had to "edit" my life...and blogging was one of the things I had to drop. Now I feel that I am caught up...well, caught up before the next great push...20 paintings for a show in 2011, 2 commissions and a show entry piece, all still in the "conceptual stage."
