On the way back from a Maynard Dixon show in Ukiah we stopped for lunch in Tule Lake...there was only one option, a burger joint. As we ate darn good burgers I noticed these three little houses. They were so modest, yet had a quiet dignity. Inspired by the Dixon show, I did a sketch and since it was temperate did not have to seek shade. However, I didn't want to take a lot of time...we still had a long trip back...so finished it in the studio today. Tule Lake is a very small and mostly boarded up ranch town. Sad how so many small rural places are really not much there anymore.
